The objective of this work is to design a Geographic Information System - GIS. For this, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires is taken as the study area and as a specific theme for the design of the GIS, the green spaces. The hypothesis is that Geographic Information Systems are ideal tools for the monitoring, management, control and maintenance of green spaces, since they allow, collect, store, process and visualize geographic information by means of simple elements such as: points, lines and polygons that together represent geographic entities and spatial variables that are measurable and geo - referenced to better understand and understand the physical and natural environment, and thus plan actions that optimize decision - making.
