The first results obtained from the analysis of the lithic set recovered in the archaeological site Tambería de Guandacol, located west of the province of La Rioja, and framed temporarily between the thirteenth and seventeenth centuries AD are presented. From a techno-morphological analysis, the implementation of formatization techniques with a low investment of work related to the daily activities carried out on the site is observed. It also discusses the probable use of local raw materials as the main source of supply, and the presence of artifacts made on rocks of possible allochthonous origin, which would have been linked to local and regional exchange. The data contributes to the knowledge of the historical trajectories of the local communities and is an empirical contribution for this region of the Argentine Northwest.
