This paper adds to the efforts that are being made to dissemble the dichotomy that suggests that if the media had been massive, it had been an accomplice to the military regime; but if underground, it was a means of resistance. The aim of this article is analyze HUMOR Registrado magazine taking into account the cracks that appeared on the shield imposed by the “Proceso”. The relevance of HUM® magazine is the fact that it was a satire and a massive publication opposed to the dictatorship. The hypothesis is that HUM® became an important means of criticism that held culture up to a politically central position by unfolding the scope and contradictions of the projects that militars and civilians allied to them tried to impose by force.
