This paper seeks to analyze and rediscover the paintings of the church in the former headquarters of the Jesuit province of Paraguay. Temple started building in the vicinity of 1650 and is now preserved as a World Heritage Site. The housing construction followed the Treaty of Philibert Delorme and then was thoroughly painted inside with a variety of reasons. Since plant compositions, through the portraits of the apostles and a series of musical angels in ascent to the representation of the Coronation of the Virgin of the dome. The task is made possible between the late seventeenth and early eighteent centuries. The church was not only an architectural model that was applied to other schools in the region, but his paintings are an important contribution to the art of the Jesuit province of Paraguay. Much of theses works were damaged beyond repair by fire in the 1960’s and were definitely lost, others were aperated improperly. And finally a few are kept hidden under the blanket of soot, which paradoxically also protects them.
