This paper aims to understand the influence of foreign policy on issues that appear not to depend on that policy, but nevertheless are closely related as is the case of a modern nation-state Science and Technology policy. Firstly, we will try to understand what was called Peripheral Realism and how it was applied; secondly, how this theory constituted a concrete way for understanding the world from and for the periphery in a concrete situation of the international system that has had some success; and finally, what were their results in the S&T development due to the structural features from this foreign policy. The Argentinean case.
