In the present work the issue of the impact on Corporate Law institutions of corporate social responsibility and the duty to respect human rights is addressed, as two different problematics, that though related have a distinct reception and an influence in corporate law. It begins with the recognition of both issues as a result of the regulatory gap at the transnational level in the regulation of the behaviour of economic entities (commercial companies), nonetheless special reference is made regarding the first aspect its reception in the legal system of Argentina, particularly in the General Companies Law, and to the second issue regarding the United Nations Guiding Principle son Business and Human Rights and the proposal for a Directive on due diligence by companies in sustainability matters by the European Union.
