This paper studies the relevance of savings in the applied case of Argentina and in the framework of behavioral economics. Specifically, it analyzes the literature on savingsoriented nudges and empirically identifies the absence of related instruments in the local public financial sector. Additionally, through two interviews of our own design, we study the only two financial technology companies (the Fintech Invuelto and Front) that apply nudges to incentivize savings in Argentina. The analysis allows concluding the absence of similar initiatives in public banking and to make public policy recommendations aimed at implementing new instruments in this institution, analyzing the feasibility of their implementation and seeking to contribute to the debate on the promotion of financial inclusion in Argentina through savings.
