The narrative chronicle reveals characteristics close to an anthropological approach. Within this framework, we propose to explore the intersections between the narrative chronicle and ethnography, in order to find out what contributions the latter can make - in methodological and epistemological terms - to the practice of chroniclers. To this end, we will use a qualitative methodology that combines techniques such as interviews and the search, analysis and systematisation of specific bibliography on the subject. The results allow us to identify a set of tools that ethnography can provide to reflect on and enrich the practice of chroniclers: a way of knowing the social world, based on the premise that stories are constructed in dialogue with the protagonists and the use of subjectivity itself as a tool for knowledge.
