This paper aims to understand the spaces of collective organisation of family members participating in the National Meeting of Family Members Victims of Institutional Violence that took place in Buenos Aires -Argentina- during 2018 and 2019. Through the accompaniment of family members from Córdoba, we focused the analysis along two lines: exploring the ways in which the interlocutors in a context of travel. The study explores the notion of family members in collective spaces of participation and highlights how the construction of tools that enable practices of resistance is qualitative and exploratory in nature. The study used ethnography as an approach and method and followed a multisite perspective, in which observations and interviews were carried out. Atlas.ti software was used to analyse the data and organize it into units of meaning, coding, and constructing theory. We propose that this travel experience enables the construction of a notion of family that goes beyond the effects of prison and enables a diversity of emotions in the face of a polyphony of violence.
