The objective of this work is to evaluate the behavior of different combinations of stone groundwood pulp (SGW) with two qualities of recycled fibers (paper of long fiber Kraft bags and newspapers), in Duplex and Triplex multiply board. Duplex boards of 120 g/m2 were made using a mixture of SGW and recycled newspaper in the inferior layer, with a superior layer of 100% recycled Kraft pulp. Triplex boards of 180 g/m2 were formed with a superior layer of 100% recycled Kraft, and alternating newspaper recycled pulp and SGW in the other two layers (central and inferior). In the third part of the work, another Triplex was elaborated maintaining the layers of recycled Kraft 100% and SGW, and replacing the inferior layer by a recycled Triplex. Conventional physical and optical tests were practiced. Conclusions about the best combination of pulps in all obtained boards were elaborated.
