Resumen
This dataset contains the field and laboratory measurements used to evaluate seasonal physiological acclimatization in the high-Andean lizard Phymaturus palluma. It includes individual records of field body temperature, substrate and air temperatures, body size and mass, preferred body temperature, resting metabolic rate, evaporative water loss, and thermal sensitivity (Q10) measured across different seasons. The dataset comprises three tables containing raw field data, descriptive statistics of preferred body temperature, and physiological measurements obtained under controlled laboratory conditions.
Tabla de contenidos
Field body temperatures and environmental variables. Individual-level field measurements of Phymaturus palluma collected during different seasons. The dataset includes season, individual identification, sex, snout–vent length (SVL, mm), tail length (TL, mm), body mass (BM, g), body temperature (Tb, °C), substrate temperature (Tsus, °C), and air temperature (Tair, °C).
Tabla de contenidos
Preferred body temperature descriptive statistics. Summary statistics of preferred body temperature (Tpref) for each individual and season. Variables include mean, standard deviation, standard error, 95% confidence interval of the mean, range, maximum, minimum, median, first quartile (Q25), and third quartile (Q75).
Tabla de contenidos
Metabolic rate, evaporative water loss, and thermal sensitivity. Individual measurements of resting metabolic rate (RMR) and evaporative water loss (EWL) measured at 20 and 30°C. The dataset includes season, individual identification, sex, metabolic rate (RMR), standard deviation of RMR, body mass during metabolic measurements, evaporative water loss (EWL), and calculated Q10 values for metabolic rate (Q10RMR) and evaporative water loss (Q10EWL).
