This article will discuss, in an introductory manner, the contributions of the political analysis of discourse (PAD), and the legacies of that this horizon takes from linguistic structuralism and poststructuralism, to reflect on the study of the identity rapports in the educational context. The objective here, is to allow for a critical appropriation while stressing on such theoretical legacies –being the same differentially inserted in different field and before different objects of knowledge. Post-structuralism and PAD introduce a post-functionalist Reading in social sciences since mid-20th Century, consolidating new approaches to identity in dialogue with post-Marxism, political philosophy, Lacanian psychoanalysis, cultural studies, and critical theory. When thinking about the education spaces from these different articulations, a genealogy of their legacies reactivates the main notions of the intellectual currents that PAD addresses de-constructively.
