Resumen
A petrographic study is presented on the pottery made by indigenous societies that inhabited the lower course of the Paraná River and Martín García Island at the end of the late Holocene. The objective was to explore the variability of the pastes in relation to the temporal and spatial distribution of different ceramic styles and to evaluate whether the perceived similarities and differences inmorphologies, surface treatments and representations have petrographic correlation. The results achieved show the coexistence of different fabric recipes to make pottery pieces whose shapes and designs make up the repertoire of different ceramic styles.
