Tradición, política y disputa por el sentido: Analizando los orígenes del Peronismo desde la posición de la prensa de Santiago del Estero (1945-1946)

Abstract

El artículo analiza los efectos que suscitó el peronismo en actores de poder de un contexto provincial específico antes y durante su llegada (1945-1946). Contrariamente a la mirada que asume la historiografía especializada, sobre cómo ciertas elites sirvieron a la llegada de Perón a los escenarios provinciales, consideramos que dicho apoyo no fue homogéneo en todos los casos. Para desarrollar el argumento, tomaremos el caso del principal actor comunicacional, el diario El Liberal, de la provincia de Santiago del Estero. Ello permitirá mostrar cómo la llegada del peronismo a un contexto provincial significó una ruptura en términos relativos, en torno a ciertos consensos y relaciones de dominio preexistentes. La principal hipótesis que orienta el trabajo es que lo amenazante del partido laborista para un sector de poder como la prensa era la constitución de un sujeto político que tiene lugar con la llegada del nuevo movimiento. El siguiente trabajo, entonces, propone aportar en el estudio histórico político de un fenómeno de alta intensidad y largo arrastre en la Argentina, pero atendiendo para ello a una dimensión político-cultural novedosa en su estudio: la que refiere a la construcción de un otro negativamente significado como epicentro de un juego de sentidos en torno a los cuales se disputó el atractivo y rechazo del peronismo.The article analyzes the effects that Peronism provoked in actors of power of a specific provincial context before and during its arrival (1945-1946). Contrary to the view assumed by specialized historiography, on how certain elites served the arrival of Perón to the provincial stages, we consider that this support was not homogeneous in all cases. To develop the argument, we will take the case of the main communicational actor, the newspaper El Liberal, in the province of Santiago del Estero. This will show how the arrival of Peronism in a provincial context meant a break in relative terms, around certain preexisting structures and relations of domination. The main hypothesis that guides the work is that the threatening of the Labor Party for a sector of power like the press was the constitution of a political subject that emerged with the arrival of the new movement. The following work then proposes to contribute in the political historical study of a phenomenon of high intensity and long drag in Argentina but taking into account a new political-cultural dimension in its study: the one that refers to the construction of another negatively meaning as epicenter of a game of senses around which the attractiveness and rejection of Peronism was disputed.
