Based on the nouvelle Berazachusetts (2007) by Leandro Ávalos Blacha, we propose a reading of the way in which the subjects-characters and the city experience transformations linked to the transgression of (geo)cultural borders, and the consideration of other cultures through associated with them. In general, we address the configuration of social, class and gender traits attributed to female and male characters from the perspectives of others and the transfiguration of the Buenos Aires suburbs, to then analyze the emergence of the living dead that they "zombify" the city, as a metaphor that recovers our past from State terrorism until December 2001 in Argentina. Likewise, we take Kusch to reflect on the tension between being someone from citizen fiction and being no more, allowing us to think about how from fiction a fragment of memory of our recent history is established and reactivated.
