A methodology is introduced to calculate the air infiltration flow in buildings by means of the approximated equation used by the standards ASHRAE and the programme EnergyPlus. The wind action on each facade of the building is considered by introducing the wind direction, and the usual EnergyPlus and other programmes cosimulation is avoided. Non-dimensional and normalized coefficients are used in the multiple linear regression model, which allows us to properly compare the infiltration flows generated by the temperature difference between the inside and outside, and the wind action on the analysed building. An additional theoretical approximation, which does not depend on numerical simulation programmes, is used to improve the calculation of the infiltration flow when the building internal temperature and the local meteorological data are available.
