The different versions of Cochicó narrative combat, that occurred between ranquel indians and militaries on 08/19/1882, are examined. It was the last armed resistance that starred a ranquel group led by the chief Yancamil, three years after of the desert conquest beginning. In order to approach the analysis of the confrontation from a new perspective, the landscape characteristic mentioned in the reports it were spatially located, and based on the different variations observed it were proposed any combat scenes, emphasizing the spatial distribution of the displacements carried out by both flanks. From this approach it is expected to contribute with new interpretative aspects of that war event.
