In the mid-fifties (S. XX), several changes occurred in the epidemiological, political, health and ideological of Argentine society. While the world is divided into the political blocs (US / USSR) that disputed peripheral political scenarios, child paralysis expanded. Thousands of children stop running to be bedridden, or supported by orthopedic devices. This work strives to make the biological events for me, not understanding the epidemic episodes as mere, biological facts, nor the dispute, Russian – American, reduced, to the context, merely, ideological, on the contrary, to look, this, process, by, means, of, poliomyelitis, not only the connectors that require the types of intervention that were applied in terms of prevention and rehabilitation of people with motor disabilities, such as the macro sanitary changes in which they occurred.
