Justicia y teoría social, o el lugar del derecho en la obra de Axel Honneth

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en examinar el lugar que el derecho ocupa en la versión recognoscitiva de la teoría crítica desarrollada durante las últimas décadas por Axel Honneth. Antes de proceder con la consecución de este propósito, se ofrece una discusión introductoria y se ubica el tratamiento de la cuestión de la justicia llevado a cabo por el autor mencionado en el más amplio contexto multidisciplinar de la teoría social (1). Hecho esto, y luego de presentar los aspectos esenciales de la obra del filósofo social alemán (2), se pasa, en las secciones centrales del artículo, a atender a la problemática del derecho y el espacio que la misma abarca en la propuesta teórica que es objeto de escrutinio (3 y 4). Tras reponer algunas críticas (5), se concluye recapitulando todo lo expuesto y efectuando algunas consideraciones finales (6).The aim of the present work is to analyze the place that law occupies in the recognitive version of critical theory developed over last decades by Axel Honneth. Before proceeding with the accomplishment of this purpose, an introductory discussion is provided, and the treatment of the issue of justice carried out by the aforementioned author is located in the broader multidisciplinary context of social theory (1). Having done this, and after presenting the essential aspects of the German social philosopher’s work (2), the central sections of the article address the issue of law and the space it encompasses in the theoretical proposal that is the object of scrutiny (3 and 4). After addressing some criticisms (5), the paper concludes by summarizing everything that has been discussed and making some final considerations (6).
