La invasión inglesa y la participación popular en la reconquista y defensa de Buenos Aires 1806-1807

Abstract

Nuestro trabajo intentará abordar algunas cuestiones en torno a las milicias que entre 1806 y 1807 emprendieron la Reconquista y Defensa de Buenos Aires durante el proceso de invasión inglesa. Consideramos importante analizar qué pasó en el Río de la Plata entre 1806 y 1807 y, puntualmente, quiénes fueron los actores que formaron parte de estos eventos debido al rol significativo que muchos de ellos tendrán, posteriormente, durante el proceso de Independencia.Our study will try to deal with some questions about the militia and the plebeian that participated in the Reconquest and Defense of Buenos Aires between 1806 and 1807 during the process known as British Invasion. In our opinion, it is very important to analyze what happened in the Rio de la Plata between 1806 and 1807 and who the men that were part of these events were, especially because many of these men would have later a fundamental role in the Independence process.
