We reflect here about the tension between morality-ethics occurring in the Latin American criticism to the epistemological and ontological assumptions that act as instruments for legitimization in inequality, oppression/domination, and exclusion situations. We focus on three Argentinean thinkers, whose works even being contemporary refer to different historical situations. After characterizing the XX century Latin American humanism, we address in the first place León Rozitchner’s hermeneutic study (1963 [2012]) on the interviews to counter-revolutionaries arrested after the Playa Girón invasion in the context of the Cuban Revolution. Secondly, we try to unravel the inherent tension of culture’s dynamism in the writings by Rodolfo Agoglia (1979). Finally, we examine Arturo Roig’s allegation (2002) against the oppressive nature of the modern subject and ethics, in pursue of a characterization of an emerging morality.
