The aim of the present paper is to analize the biochemical contents that appear in the chapters dedicated to enzimology in universitary text-books such as Biological Chemistry (Blanco, 2005) and Biochemistry (Stryer, 1988), by means of the conceptual tools of the structuralist view of sceintific theories (Balzer, Moulines & Sneed, 1987). Specifically, we will show the specialization lines that capture those “paradigmatic examples” or “exemplars” that ocurr in both text-books, including an aditional exemplar present in just one of the analized text-books (Blanco, 2005), aiming to show that, even though it exists a certain heterogeneity in the presentation of the topics, these are integrated in a natural way in one and the same theory, namely: the theory of dinamical or methabolic biochemistry.
