Presencia Indígena al sur del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo enseñar la presencia indígena de la provincia de Buenos Aires, específicamente en la zona sur del Área Metropolitana. En primer lugar, a partir de la presentación de datos demográficos, cruzados por variables de género y edad, se dará cuenta de su composición heterogénea para, en segundo lugar, llevar a cabo su ejemplificación con dos casos etnográficos: la organización etnopolítica del “Consejo Indígena de Almirante Brown” y su participación municipal y la reciente experiencia de autogestión de la agrupación Artístico cultural “Bartolinas Danzas Andinas”.The principal aim of this work is to show the presence of indigenous people in the province of Buenos Aires, specifically in the southern zone of the Metropolitan Area. At the beginning, we will present demographic data, crossed by gender and age variables, to realize its complexity and, in the other hand, show that heterogeneity with two ethnographic cases: the ethnopolitical organization of the "Consejo Indígena de Almirante Brown" and its participation in the municipal structure, and the recent experience of self-management of the cultural artistic group "Bartolinas Danzas Andinas".
