The present study aims to offers an adaptation and validation to the local context of the Collett– Lester Fear to Death Scale (FODS) in a sample of 150 university students from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The confirmatory analysis yielded an adequate fit for the four-factor model proposed by the original authors (NNFI = .95; CFI = .95; IFI = .95; SRMR = .90). For its part, the analysis of reliability based on the McDonald's Omega also yielded acceptable values, obtaining acceptable figures for the Fear of death of self (ω = .88) Fear of dying of self (ω = .81), Fear of death of others (ω = .84) and Fear of dying of others (ω = .89). The Argentine adaptation of the FODS offers 28 items in line with those proposed in the original version. However, it is suggested that future studies continue to explore its psychometric properties in our country
