This study evaluates the factors that affect gaps in access to quality employment in the structure of the Argentine labor market, from a household perspective. The variables considered are demographic attributes, household strategies and the sectoral and occupational positioning of the main breadwinner. The analysis draws on microdata from the Permanent Household Survey of the National Institute of Statistics and Census, and applies binary logistic regression models. The main finding is that the sectoral configuration of the labor market structure creates persistent and significant gaps in access to higher-quality jobs.
