This text attempts to address the relationships between education and knowledge, world and life. The problem of knowing is posed from the notion of attention where, based on curiosity and desire, it is possible to conceive of attention as a non-extractivist pedagogical gesture. In this way, it does not seek to adapt, model or adjust the things of the world to a pre-established image, but rather implies an instance of suspension of one's own. Likewise, a conception of environmental education is proposed from a perspective of care for interdependent networks of life. If we habitually structure our relationships with things and with others based on utilitarian logic, it is necessary to interrupt them in order to give rise to links that exceed instrumental reason. Finally, narration is presented as a way of displaying the power of that which is usually denied by the dominant cartographies associated with economic rationality and the mandates of production, profit and growth.
