By conceiving the geographical space, as a space built on territory by historical and current social relationships, we ask us about which have been the main socio-ambient processes configuring Mendoza’s territory and the way they have reverberate on territorial equity. Through bibliographical review, we built a report about these processes and the social consequences of the territorial configuration achieved. We propose the Mendocinean territory, which was space crossed by rivers, became a territorially divided space as a result of society-nature interaction processes. Therefore, remains there a small dimension irrigated territory with great economic dynamism, plus an extensive surface non-irrigated territory with subsistence economies. Territoriality was constructed by the intentionality of actors who appropriate the resources to establish domination and production orders, and to over position the irrigated territory, in terms of symbolical and political value.
