Vermiculture is a biotechnology of high ecological and nutritional interest because it can be used as an alternative for recycling organic waste from different sources and obtain humus necessary for soil fertilization; and also to produce highly protein worm flour, which can be applied in fish feed. The objective of this work was to produce and characterize physicochemically worms obtained from poultry, cattle and pig manure; and evaluate the use of worm meal (Eisenia foetida) in the feeding of the silverside (Odontesthes bonariensis). Three different substrates were prepared: 1-Gallinaza + Agricultural waste, 2Bovinaza + Agricultural waste and 3-Porcinaza + Agricultural waste, and then 500 worms were inoculated per drawer and the humidity conditions were controlled (75-80%), temperature (20-25 ° C) and pH (7–7.5). Growth parameters (size and weight) and survival of Odontesthes bonariensis were evaluated by the following treatments: T1: 50% worm meal (HL) + balanced food, T2: 70% HL + 30% balanced food and T3: 100% balanced meal. All the vermicomposts obtained showed significant differences regarding the content of parameters evaluated: Ashes, Total Organic Carbon, Density, Humidity, Total Organic Nitrogen, pH, C / N Ratio, Conductivity. The bovine substrate was the most suitable for the production of worms. The earthworm flour obtained from swine had a higher protein content. Through the T1 treatment, the fish presented greater weight, length and survival compared to the rest. It is important to highlight that vermiculture is a viable alternative for the enrichment of food intended for fish.
