Although bats make up a large proportion of mammals’ biodiversity, the species present in many areas is unknown. We provide distributional and ecological data (richness, trophic guilds, reproduction, and use of refuges) about the bat species that inhabit the forests of the ecoregions Delta and the Paraná Islands and Humid Chaco of the northeast of Santa Fe province, Argentina. We sampled eight localities in General Obligado and San Javier departments for 17 nights and 71.58 hours between 2021 and 2022. We recorded ten species (and 28 individuals) belonging to three families (Vespertilionidae, Molossidae, and Phyllostomidae) and five trophic guilds. The most frequent species was Neoeptesicus furinalis, which was recorded in 62.5 % of the localities. We also registered Sturnira lilium after 78 years of its unique record in the province. Insectivores were the trophic group with the greatest richness in the captures (nine species). The highest species richness was found in environments around water bodies, which would indicate the importance of these environments for bats.
