The article addresses this relationship through four axes: the coincidental interests between the director and the autor based on obtaining a horizontal consecration; the filmic approach to the parameters of modernity through staging decisions; the representation of the city and the inclusion of recognizable spaces; and the role played by the critics at the time of making known the proposal and the confrontation that they maintained with the power field. The chosen methodological approach seeks to reconstruct the facts from a double perspective: presenting attention to both the internal aspects and their production conditions and the context in which the proposal was made known and the reactions generated among the specialized receivers.
