Two programs of cultural memory recovery are analyzed in this paper; they belong to the Mapuche and Mapuche-Tehuelche ethinic groups in the Chubut province, Argentina. Both deal with social conflict processes. The first case is located in the coast of that province and gives testimony of tense moments (persecutions during military campaigns and discrimination, among others) that were reckoned as historic turning points which created collective subjectivizations. The second case, in the northeast, was a territorial dispute that two Mapuche communities went through against the government, this provided the set that allow the recalling process, giving insight into past experiences and present shared political ideas.
