Currently, changing situations, the speed of information and the demands of the environment require an effort to adapt to daily life activities. Older people must face the general challenge of being flexible in this context. Cognitive Flexibility (FC) is key in explaining adaptive cognitive functioning in advanced age, and favors the protective effect against neurodegenerative pathology. Although executive processes are affected by advancing age, there is evidence about their plasticity and maintenance into adulthood. This project proposes: on the one hand, to contribute to the knowledge of HR performance during aging, in young, intermediate and long-lived older people without cognitive impairment and on the other, to design and evaluate a training program based on HR strategies, related to advanced activities of daily living in a subsample of young older people. A correlational cross-sectional design will evaluate a non-probabilistic, intentional sample of 480 people of both sexes from 65 to 90 years old from Mar del Plata. It is expected to contribute with a computerized tool for the evaluation and cognitive training of HR in older people.
