Constitución del trabajo, régimen de vida y profesión: Tres intraducibles claves en la obra de Max Weber

Abstract

Este artículo plantea algunas de las principales dificultades que presenta la exposición de la obra de Max Weber, en particular las relacionadas con sus problemas de edición y traducción. Para lo cual propone considerar tres conceptos claves de distintos períodos del pensamiento weberiano: Constitución del trabajo (Arbeitsversfassung), Régimen de vida (Lebensführung) y Profesión (Beruf). El examen de estos tres conceptos en sus distintos contextos de producción, así como de su “intraducibilidad” a lo largo del legado weberiano, concluye en un análisis de su centralidad en la obra de Weber, como también de la vigencia heurística de cada uno de ellos para dar cuenta de fenómenos sociales de nuestra contemporaneidad.This paper raises some of the main difficulties presented by the exposition of Max Weber's work, particularly those related to the editing and translation problems. For this purposes it proposes to consider three key concepts from different periods of Weberian thought: Labor`s Constitution (Arbeitsversfassung), Regime of life (Lebensführung) and Profession (Beruf). Through the examination of these three concepts in their different production contexts, as well as of their "untranslatability" throughout the Weberian legacy, it is noted the fecundity of the veiled meanings in these original terms, as well as the ever-unfinished need to renew the heritage of the editions in our language.
