The present paper aims to analyze the transformations operated by Reposianus, late Latin author of the poem Concubitus Martis et Veneris,on the Homeric myth of Aphrodite and Hephaestus. We depart from the image of textus, which articulates the multiple displacements that the poem proposes on the myth (considering its precedents: Homer,Ovid, Hyginus), related to the theme, the characters, the tone, the style, the genre, etc. Finally, by means of the projection of the image of the textus to a metaliterary level, we can trace in the poem of Reposianusreflections on the literary work in Late Antiquity, and the displacements and transformations that this implies in relation to classical matter.
