Computational modeling of color vision

Abstract

Modeling approaches have advanced our understanding of the neural principles underlying sensory processing and perception. We review studies using computational models to investigate various aspects of color vision, from the photoreceptor stage to high-level neural processing and perception, and we discuss the insights they offer in understanding color vision.
