Enfermedades terminales, finitud y alienación

Abstract

Luego de intentar hacer una descripción de la enfermedad según las dimensiones de la existencia, la pasión y el conocimiento, correspondientes cada una a las dimensiones que Sartre presenta para el cuerpo en El ser y la nada, el presente trabajo se abocará a analizar el modo como son existidas, padecidas y conocidas las enfermedades terminales por el paciente. La conclusión será que la pasión de este tipo de enfermedades según sus habituales connotaciones de culpa y castigo es el resultado de la existencia afectiva de un destino miserable construido a partir de un peculiar tipo de alienación psicológica.After trying to make a description of the disease according to the dimensions of existence, passion and knowledge (following to the dimensions that Sartre presents for the body in Being and nothingness), this work will analyze the way that terminal diseases are existed, suffered and known by the patient. The conclusion is that the passion -usually conceived as guilt and punishment- of this type of diseases is the result of the affective existence of a miserable destiny, wich is built from a peculiar type of psychological alienation.
