The Iberá Wetlands are among the most important wetlands on the planet. This unique ecosystem, with its vast stretches of freshwater, floating islands, and rich biodiversity, stands as living proof of nature’s power and its capacity for renewal. This understanding comes from 40 years of research by scientists from our university and beyond, who have worked to explore, describe, and understand the complexity of this ecosystem.
