In the following lines you will find reflections on the articulation of the notions of violence, legitimacy, conflict and order in the interpretationof social reality. It is a path based on the concernfor a reply of how an order, despite being unequal, remains; what mechanisms will operate in theseprocesses, what scope remains for social transformation and what are the ways and means that asociety accepts as valid to sort the common life. For these purpose, we take two texts into play: “Agrarian structure, conflict and violence in the ruralsociety in Latin America", by Cristobal Kay (2001) and “"The never-ending and conflicted buildingof the desired order" by Norbert Lechner (1984). From this tension we get into the problem ofviolence in their relationship with the legitimacy, order and conflict. The aim is to discuss the placethat we assign to each one of these concepts in our interpretations of social reality in general, and ofthe agrarian question in particular.
