This paper contributes to the knowledge of the technical choices involved in the production and use of Guaraní pottery painting in seven archaeological sites of the Paraná Delta and Martín García Island. The technomorphological and stylistic analysis of the pottery and the mineralogical composition of the paints used was carried out with Raman micro-spectrometry. The internal and/or external walls were painted, and motifs were made on the vessels known as kambuchí kaguava, kambuchí and ñaʼẽmbé. Iron oxides were used in the red, orange and brown colors, in addition to hematite with charcoal for some red tones, magnetite combined with charcoal for black and titanium oxide for white. The painting and the motifs were articulated with the shapes of the vessels, generating a unique ceramic repertoire that refers to a Guarani way of making identifiable in the archaeological record of the sites analyzed here.
