Baudelaire y Ortiz: Consonancia de gatos

Abstract

Este artículo se propone analizar la imagen y el sentido de los gatos en algunos poemas de Juan L. Ortiz. Para ello, se parte de su representación ya establecida en los poemas de Charles Baudelaire, cuyo simbolismo sirve de contraste con la obra del poeta argentino, desde puntos de vista formales, figurativos y narrativos. Por último, se plantea una conjetura acerca del sentido del poema más extenso que aquí se considera: su efecto purgativo, en consonancia con la interpretación aristotélica de lo trágico.This article tries to analyze the image and meaning of cats in some poems by Juan L. Ortiz. To do this, it starts with its representation already established in the poems of Charles Baudelaire, whose symbolism serves as a contrast to the work of the Argentine poet, from formal, figurative and narrative points of view. Finally, a conjecture is raised about the meaning of the longer poem considered here: its purgative effect, in line with the Aristotelian interpretation of the tragic.
