How is an author read, and with what discussions is he received? This article seeks to contribute knowledge about the way in which Charles Tilly, specifically his notion of “repertoire”, has been read in some social research programmes on social conflict in the context of the resurgence of social protest studies during the crisis at the beginning of the century. In turn, and within this prism, this paper proposes to show the echoes of his contributions in the theoretical and methodological criteria that underpin the elaboration of catalogues of events of struggle.
