In this paper, we analyze the work of Walter Benjamin and Joseph Huizinga, pretending to engage in a dialogue between they, from On the Concept of History and the N: Theoretics of Knowledge, Theory of Progress, in The Arcades Proyect by Benjamin, and Sobre el estado actual de la ciencia histórica, by Huizinga. We try an update of these works: how to read links that never have been written between Benjamin and Huizinga? We realize the criticism of the ideology of progress, tensions that occur when the authors discussed the progress in the historicist version of history, holding the conception of historical time and the idea of conceptualizing complex: image.
