The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has precipitated very important transformations in educational practices. Through different paths, the need to ensure pedagogical continuity and resolve the physical absence of teachers and students was raised. These situations have generated the configuration of new practices. Based on their own experiences, a large part of the higher level teachers turned to an almost immediate demand for digital tools that could assist training in these new contexts. With the assumptions of facilitating face-to-face contact with students and assisting in the presentation of content, videoconferencing acquired a central relevance and its use spread at the speed of educational needs. However, the interactivity that videoconferencing makes possible is not typical of the technological medium or its qualities, but is achieved through deliberate intent on the part of the teacher and the responsible contribution of the participants in the communicative act. Therefore, the dynamics of teaching required transformations in the use of these media. With a qualitative logic, the various pedagogical formats and the interaction developed in the videoconferences were analyzed. Along with this, the intentions and meanings that the teachers consider in the planning of these spaces were investigated. The results show particular and distinctive uses of these tools. With the analysis of the intended, real and possible uses, the teaching decisions in the configuration of the exchange spaces are revealed. In the postpandemic context, the results proposed in this work are considerations for the planning and implementation of powerful interaction spaces for the hybrid teaching approach.
