The article explores the spatial transformations happened from the cult of the Virgen del cerro de Salta through the theoretical corpus of two emerging fields of geographical science: the geography of religion and the geography of bodies. For a long time, dimensions such as culture, body and religious had a marginal places within the topics of approach to geography, but from the changes that have occurred from the framework of the new cultural geography they acquire power as a vehicle for analyzing the spatiality. Located in the case, and from the review of these frameworks we ask ourselves: how is the hill built as a sacred place from the experiences of visitors? What role do the different actors play in the spatial organization? How is space and the practices of bodies regulated? How are these bodies related to practices and place? And how is this space experienced and perceived by its agents?.
