In the context of understanding the press as a social and political actor, we analyze the way in which this case for the Argentine case built the view on the Olympic Games in Berlin 1936 and on the participation of the swimmer Jeanette Campbell (the first Argentinean sportsman in the Olympic Games). We find some publications related to Nazi Germany and a series of constructions around the image of sportsmanship linked to femininity, nazism and sacrifice.
