With an approach that connects studies on cinema and popular music, this article examines the film Pulqui, an instant in the land of happiness, directed by Alejandro Fernández Mouján, and released in 2007. I propose to reflect on the production of senses, memories and affections that emanate from certain expressive and narrative uses of an emblematic partisan song —the Peronist march– and a popular one —the tango “Naranjo en flor”– to think about its potential diegetic and spectatorial effects, in relation to the Peronist political memories and the post-crisis present after the social outbreak of 2001.
