Most of them workers belonging to the mechanics' union (SMATA), these activists engaged in an intense discussion with the national leadership of their party, which resulted in their expulsion and subsequent integration into the rival organization, the PST, which at that time was developing debates with the PO on various topics: the ways to build a revolutionary party, the strategies for taking power in Latin America, the return of Perón, among other aspects. By investigating internal documents, our purpose is to reconstruct the development of those discussions and propose clues that shed light, in terms of political culture and militant subjectivity, on the possible meaning of the ruptures, passages and militant reconversions.
