Abstract

El presente artículo expone las ideas/saberes que se articularon en torno al concepto “raza” y categorías raciales en la obra “Conflicto y armonías de las razas en América” de Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. Al mismo tiempo, busca señalar su relación con las teorías antropológicas sobre “raza” que circularon en los centros científicos, europeos y norteamericanos, más importantes de la época.This article presents the ideas/knowledge that were articulated around the concept of "race" and racial categories in the work "Conflict and harmonies of the races in America" by Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. At the same time, it seeks to point out its relationship with the anthropological theories about "race" that circulated in the most important scientific centers, European and North American, of the time.
