The work done by male and female nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic occupied a prominent place in the media. In this article, we will explore the journalistic representations of nursing in three digital news sites of the city of La Plata, one of the cities with the highest concentration of nursing staff in the country. The digital news sites are 0221, “Pulso Noticias” and the digital version of the newspaper “El Día”. The period under study runs between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021, in the light of the Critical Discourse Analysis. We will demonstrate that although digital portals disseminated news about labor conditions and demands, they overlapped the nursing sector within the larger group of health workers.
