This article analyzes the evolution of the artistic dynamics in Buenos Aires from the beginning of the 19th century (circa 1807) to 1870. For this reason, here various moments of an artistic circuit are reconstructed that, while expanding in space, transcending beyond downtown, diversified artistically and incorporated a multiplicity of shows. Likewise, this work seeks to account for the needs for a historiographic approach that analyzes spaces, entertainment and shows from a long-term perspective, while progressively - although with overlaps and tensions –a modern artistic circuit was formed that made Buenos Aires like the European capitals.
